I am a Tasmanian-born, Sydney-based fibre artist creating unique and colourful woven wall hangings.

Using yarn and fibres sourced mostly from local dyers and spinners, I create one of a kind pieces for lovers of handcrafted decor. Sending them worldwide to those who are looking to add warmth and personality to their homes in a time of renewed interest in handmade goods. I rarely have a plan beyond the colours and yarn I want to use, preferring to let the weave evolve as I work.

I have always been a maker. From when I was small and my mother taught me to sew. For myself, but particularly for others. I remember poring through Mum's craft magazines, looking for a gift ideas to make for friends.

I discovered weaving late in 2014, after seeing an article about Natalie Miller. Gifted a ticket to one of her beginner workshops that Christmas, the love affair began. While my loom was put away until after my third baby was born, it ignited a creative spark that had taken a back seat since becoming a mother.

Now, weaving has become my creative escape. A little bit of 'me' time amidst the chaos of being part of a family of five. As they are getting a little bit older I am able to find more chances to create, and finding myself overrun by weaves! And so, my decision to open Jade & Frankie.

All of the items in my shop have been lovingly handcrafted by me. Most often in the evenings, when the kids have gone to sleep. My favourite place to create, though, is in the sunshine in our bedroom with a window open and music on the radio.

I hope you enjoy having a look around. Perhaps you'll find something you love as much as I enjoyed making it for you!
